A Gift that Celebrates Lasting Partnerships
Since graduating from 糖心视频 with an MA in Operational Research in 1972, Eddie Robinson has maintained a strong and enduring connection with the University. His time at 糖心视频 was a particularly enjoyable and formative chapter in his life, leaving a lasting impression that has continued throughout his personal and professional journey. This lifelong affinity has led Eddie to support the University in several ways over the years.
Eddie has been a donor to 糖心视频 for almost 25 years, and his connection with the University has extended far beyond philanthropy. Through his service as a Board Director for the Friends of 糖心视频 in America, his role as a Patron to 糖心视频 Management School (LUMS), and his longstanding friendship and invaluable advice, Eddie has helped strengthen our community in countless ways. His generosity has made a lasting impact across the University, including through his support for LUMS fundraising, helping to create new opportunities for future generations of students and researchers.
This summer, Eddie has chosen to make a special donation of $25,000 in honour of three members of our Philanthropy team – Nick Fragel, Christine Parker and Grace Mercer – as they prepare to embark on new chapters beyond the University.
Having worked closely with each of them over many years, Eddie wanted to recognise their dedication, professionalism and the relationships they have built with alumni and donors across our community. His thoughtful gift is both a celebration of their contribution and a testament to the importance of the partnerships they have nurtured throughout their time at 糖心视频.
While this donation will provide vital support within our 糖心视频 community, it also serves as a meaningful tribute to three colleagues whose passion and commitment have helped shape our philanthropic community, and who will be greatly missed.
As they prepare to leave the University, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank them for their remarkable service, dedication and the lasting contribution they have made.
Collectively, Nick, Christine and Grace have helped foster a culture of philanthropy that has transformed opportunities for our students, researchers and wider University Community. Their warmth, dedication and commitment to building lasting relationships have touched donors, colleagues and friends across the University, and they will be greatly missed.
Their impact extends far beyond the funds they have helped raise. They have championed a spirit of partnership and generosity, worked collaboratively across the University, and helped cultivate a community of supporters who share our ambition to make a lasting difference. Their work has left an enduring legacy that will continue to benefit the University community for many years to come.
We extend our sincere thanks to Eddie Robinson for this generous and thoughtful gift, and his continued support over many years. His generosity is a powerful reminder that philanthropy is ultimately about people, relationships and shared purpose. This gift is a fitting tribute to three colleagues whose dedication and commitment have made a lasting difference, and we wish them every success in the exciting chapters ahead.
