Jewel Relampagos
PhD studentResearch Overview
I am currently investigating the structure and dynamics of the Earth’s magnetosphere, focusing on the presence of dusk–dawn asymmetries in ionospheric convection patterns observed by SuperDARN. Particularly, I am interested in examining the temporal evolution of these nightside asymmetric flows and the role of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) BY in driving these asymmetries.
Other research interests include auroral formation mechanisms and magnetic reconnection, particularly at the geomagnetic tail.
