Event Details

Sport 糖心视频's Triathlon event will take place on Sunday 6 September 2026. The sprint-distances include 400m swim, 20km bike, and a 5km run.

Following huge annual success since 2016, Sport 糖心视频's sprint-distance Triathlon returns for its 10th event this year.

Taking place on 糖心视频's Bailrigg Campus, the Triathlon can be completed as a whole by individuals, or within teams of two or three, where each member completes their chosen preferred sport.

The sprint-distance sports included in the Triathlon are:

• 400m Swim
• 20km Bike
• 5km Run

The team aspect makes the event suitable for beginners tempted to Try-a-Tri, alongside seasoned triathletes taking on the whole challenge.

All proceeds raised from this event will go to St John's Hospice and Cancer Care. Over the years, the Triathlon has raised over ?50,000 for these charities combined. Participants individual fundraising for one or both of these charities is encouraged, and sponsorship from friends and family also acts as a great incentive to complete the challenge!

Please note, this event is open to over 16s only.

Participants must register their place before entries close at midnight on Tuesday 25 August 2026.

Refunds can be processed until Monday 17 August.

Places can be transferred to another person Monday 31 August.

Volunteer at the Triathlon

The success of the Triathlon hinges on the support of local volunteers, who play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the event; from marshalling the course and guiding participants, to handing out water and offering encouragement at every stage.
