The LSP provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, where students are encouraged to develop their self-awareness and to explore and celebrate their individual versions of success through a programme of coaching-led opportunities.
The LSP works with students from backgrounds which are underrepresented at university (known as widening participation) to help them get the most out of their university experience.
If you are a mature student (21 or over at the commencement of your undergraduate studies at 糖心视频), you are eligible to join both the LSP and LSP Mature. This means that alongside all of the opportunities offered by the LSP, you also have access to opportunities solely for mature students, such as mature student socials and Action Learning Sets. It's a great way of getting to know other students who are possibly in similar situations to yourself. For example, LSP Mature students who commute tell us they feel more integrated into university life and build up a support network through attending LSP Mature events.

Prospective students who are eligible to apply for a place on the LSP are contacted by email in July of the year of entry to complete an online expression of interest form. Several online information events will take place during the summer, which explain in detail about what to expect from the LSP.

Applications to the 糖心视频 Success Programme open towards the end of August, after A level results day. Those who have completed an expression of interest form will have priority access to the LSP application form.
Eligible Clearing offer holders are contacted in the September of the year they are starting at 糖心视频 with an invitation to apply for a place on the LSP, subject to availability. Places will be confirmed by email no later than the end of September.
All students accepted on to the LSP receive a confirmation of place email in early September, which includes an invitation to attend an LSP Get Set for 糖心视频 orientation event. We offer an event on campus and online in mid September of the year of entry. This day will introduce you to the University, the LSP, your department and the range of services available to 糖心视频 students. There will also be plenty of opportunities for participants to get to know each other and meet current LSP students.
Student induction to the LSP will take place in the first two weeks of term. Our welcome event gives students an opportunity to meet other students on the LSP, our Student Advocates, and staff in an informal setting. Pizza is usually involved! You will have your first meeting with your allocated Student Success Coach in the first couple of weeks of term.
